To the joy of travel lovers everywhere, we recently announced the addition of 20 million new reward seats this year. This means that those with Qantas Points earning credit cards now have a wider range of options when it comes to using points for travel. Known as Classic Plus Flight Rewards, these seats offer more choices in Economy, Premium Economy, Business and First, and are available to every Qantas International destination with domestic coming later this year. Importantly, these Reward seats are in addition to the more than 5 million Classic Flight Rewards we offer annually across Qantas, Jetstar and our partners.
How are Classic Plus Flight Rewards different to Classic Flight Rewards?
Classic Plus Flight Rewards offer greater choice of when and where you want to fly using your Qantas Points. In a similar way to a commercial fare, the amount of points you need to book this type of Reward seat fluctuates. They usually require more points than Classic Flight Rewards, but can provide even more value during sales. It also means greater availability, so you can fly to more places, more often, including during peak travel periods.
Do I need to do anything to be eligible?
If you have a Qantas Points earning credit card, you don’t need to do a thing. You’ll keep earning points as usual, and when it comes to using your points, you’ll simply have more options to choose from when booking flights on Qantas.com.
